Hello everyone.

I'm being charged to do the engineering and sizing of a mercury removal unit (MRU) in the gas processing facility I'm working in.

The tri-phase inlet enters the unit of separation (Slug-catcher) to be separated into: Gas, Condensate and water.

My question is: Could we install a MRU in the entry (to treat the tri-phase inlet stream)??

And if we install a MRU in the gas side (the gas coming out from the Slug catcher), we let the mercury go with the water and the condensate !!! And if we install a unit in each side, it's gonna cost  a lot of money ...

Thank you for helping me getting through this!
