search Leith and Licht model for optimum design and efficiency estimation... you can also calculate process parameteres (efficiency, pressure drop) based on CFD simulation (k-epsilon RNG turbulence model or RSM, and DPM model for multiphase flow modelling), but this is much more effort... too much
