Please correct me if i am wrong
Pump manufacturers supply pump performance curves for water at 70deg F, is this true.
And for using pump with other liquids correction factors are to be applied only for viscosity using charts published by hydraulic institute. While density will not have any effect on head & capacity & correction to be applied only for BHP.Whether efficiency will have any effect of density.
Effects of viscosity are
with viscous fluids
Head will decrease
capacity will decrease
Efficiency will decrease causing net increase in BHP.
Thanks
