Hello

I came across the topic name 'solar photo-voltaic cells characterization'. What is this, actually means?
Is this means 1.different kinds of photo-voltaic cells or 2. there is variations in one cell only, giving out different characteristics.

I was thinking of 2. because Solar cells uses P-N junction, and there are different characteristics of P-N junctions for different voltages and currents

I am not sure about this. I need some guidance. Are there any good books, literature, magazines (other than CEE and CE) e-books, available for solar photo-voltaic cells.
