Hi There
I'm a newbie in this forum, I found this great site on my everlasting quest to design the above equipment.
It would be helpful, if i can be recommended literatures on how to go about designing them.
Hoping to hear from fellow member of the forum soon. Thanks

If you are a Chemical Engineering student and you have been assigned the problem of designing an acid gas removal system, then it is expected that you should apply all the principles and learnings you acquired while taking the customary, pre-requisite courses of Unit Operations and Plant Design. That is where you should have obtained all the knowledge for designing a Unit Operation - not here on our Forums or elsewhere.
We are here to HELP you understand what you have already been taught - or what is expected that you should have learned. We might even show you some favorite short cuts and personal engineering methods. However, if you have failed to learn how to do the work, then the obvious thing is that you should go back and repeat the exercise. If you have specific areas or points that you don't understand, please reveal these and perhaps we can help you. But we certainly are not set up to teach Unit Operations - or any other Engineering course. That is the responsibility and duty of a recognized university. The responsibility of learning the material is yours.
Additionally, as we have constantly repeated: we don't do homework problems for students. We will help and assist in explaining engineering details or specific areas of interest or complexity. But you have to do the leg work, the research, and the studying and mastering of the material.

Knight,
I believe, as Art says, that you are familiar with basic unit operations and equipment design from your ChE courses. Therefore, amine system design should be "a logical step forward" in your further professional development.
For getting more insightful view into chemical solvent plant design, operation, troubleshooting, and conceptual approach, try to obtain these books:
1. "Gas purification", by Kohl & Nielsen
2. "Gas conditioning and processing", by Campbell
3. "Amine treating and sour water stripping", by AmineExpertsGroup
4. "GPSA Databook"
