Dear All

I want to simulate an absorber for flue gas desulfurization by Hysys. as Soda ash or Lim is not difined in hysys component list I define it as Hypo-component. but when I choose Salt group and select "Add Solid" it gives an error and don't calculate other properties.
now, what should I do for this component defenition and use in simulation??

Thanks everybody guide me,

Regards

You'll want to read the user guide on Solids and Salts, and give us some more clues on what your problem is, specifically.
Hysys treats solids as inert material, only allowing it to take up heat. Properties like boiling point, and critical temperature, etc. don't have meaning for solids. See what you need to model your components, as a true hypo, or an inert solid. Sometimes, you need both, and convert between the two using a component splitter, for example.
