Dear all,
I'm now simulating atmospheric crude distillation unit (CDU) model by HYSYS software but I face some problems as below
1.I can not put the TBP of fresh crude oil at temperature more than 330 C. There is alert pop-up as attachmentAttached File  Prob#1_4Jul10.jpg   60.49KB   18 downloads. However the max temperature of TBP input in my database is 850 C. How do I fix this problem? For info, I add 52 points in 1 assay. Is there any limitation on the TBP input. I try to change fluid package from GS to PR but it give the same result.
2.Since the actual crude oil compose of metal element e.g. nickel, vanadium, iron,Natrium, copper, calcium, Magnesium, Aluminium, Lead, How can I add these metal into HYSYS model? and What type of thermodynamic package should be used for this component?
3.How can I find the SARA (Saturate,Aromatic,Resin,Asphaltene) in HYSYS?
4.How can I customise additional parameter e.g. Aniline point?

Thank you for helping in advance.

Dear,
Change in fluid package could not be a solution. I saw the temperature values you have put more than 330 Deg C in your hysys simulation image uploaded here i.e. say your 55 vol% point is 370 C and then for 60 vol%it cannot be 330 C so just check as temperature values should be in increasing order.

2.Since the actual crude oil compose of metal element e.g. nickel, vanadium, iron,Natrium, copper, calcium, Magnesium, Aluminium, Lead, How can I add these metal into HYSYS model? and What type of thermodynamic package should be used for this component?

Use user property options in case of hysys,be careful while selecting the basis. As far as thermo method is concerned go for PR/GS in case of Hysys for CDU and for PRO-II use GS for CDU and BraunK10 for VDU.

3.How can I find the SARA (Saturate,Aromatic,Resin,Asphaltene) in HYSYS?

It's the assay which will give you the complete analysis called PONA or in simulation you can use Boiling point curves which gives the analysis.

4.How can I customise additional parameter e.g. Aniline point?

Again the user property curves option in oil characterization window.

Dear Mr.Padmakar S Katre,
Thank you very much for make me understanding. I'll try to get success in simulation.
