Hi all,
I saw the following link (please take a look): Pressure and Vacuum Relief Valves and since I'm from Mexico I was wondering if two different manufacturers could have the same flow curves , as I understand it's almost impossible because there are a lot of factors involved to determine the flow such as pressure drop, the valve design, inlet/oulet sizes, etc
So the big question is, could this be possible or the Mexican manufacturer is cheating?
Thanks

Zir:
I think it is entirely possible. All that would need to occur is for the Mexican fabricator to obtain a license and/or permission from an American counterpart. There are various reasons why this could take place. For example, a US manufacturer might not want to invest capital monies in Mexico. Another reason might be that the US manufacturer might be interested in making friends and investors in the Mexican market where labor costs are less and might fit in his production plans.

The curves look similar but are not exactly the same when you do a close up.
Manufacturers could have very similar curves no problem depending on how 'standard' the product they are producing is.
