Hi Everyone,
This is reference to one of our enquiry in which we have to provide Hot Oil System. As in to these i am not well aware of the flushing of the system using mineral oil.
Please let me know,
1) Is it mandatory to use mineral oil or can we use operating oil Hytherm 500?
2) Which type of mineral oil we use for flushing?
3) Its really appreciable if you send me the data sheet for the mineral oil.
Thanks,

Hi ,
Yes it is mandatory to have a system clean prior to introduce hot oil otherwise you will experience degradation of the oil and then start the problem . I will advise you to discuss with your vendor .
I've attached a document from solutia .
In any case don't introduce moisture in your system .
hope this helps

ajayd,
Your question is incomplete without the details of what you want to heat using hot oil. There are several types of Hot Oils or Heat Transfer Mediums available for a wide range of heating applications. Some of the most commonly used synthetic heat transfer mediums are Diphenyl:Diphenyl Oxide (DP:DPO) eutectic mixture, chlorinated biphenyls, molten salts and silicon based heating oils. Unless you tell what is the heating application, it would be difficult to recommend the type of heating oil.

Ankur.
