Dear friend:
I would be so pleased if any one send me a procedure or flow chart for normal and smooth start up procedure of water tube boiler with steam pressure of 12 barg and also list of parts which must be kept as spare parts of this boiler?
Best for all of you

Rahimzadeh,

There would be too many steps and things to look at to reply in a discussion forum.

A very good procedure is found in section VII of the ASME code.

Additionally, Section VI -Operations of the book "Steam - Its Generation & Use", Edition 41 by The Babcock & Wilcox company is an excellent reference for start-up & shutdown procedures for boilers.

You also should be having an Operating Manual for your Boiler which should normally have a step-wise description of the start-up and shutdown procedure. I would be surprised if it does not. Boilers are a very critical piece of operating equipment and most countries mandate that the Boiler manufacturer provi8des a detailed operating manual. Also, operating personnel for Boilers need to be specially trained for Boiler operations. Many countries have certification courses for Boiler operators and this is a legal requirement for operation of boilers.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.
