hai every body,

i have 2 questions...

1.Iam working on hysys for natural gas hydrates so in that simulation,i was struck at reactor duty ..so how to find duty of chemical reactor.

2.can we handle solids with reactors?and will hysys is compatible with solids..

thank you

What do you mean by " I was stuck at reactor duty"??
Did you intend to write that you progressed through the simulation untill the reactor, and now, having added the reactor module to your simulation, you are facing trouble in specifying the reactor ? What is the reaction? Is it endothermic or exothermic?
Have you gone through HYSYS documentation?

Hai ,
yes i ran my simulation up to reactor
my reaction is 1mole of methane+6moles of water-->1mole of natural gas hydrate
i dont know the duty of reactor so how to proceed further....iam using hysys software

thank you

1. Add the inlet streams, an energy stream and outlet streams to the reactor
2. Add the reactions to the reactor
3. Specify the temperature of the outlet stream.

Your simulation should run now if you have done the above correctly.
