Anyone know how to establish the vapor-liquid equilibrium data for binary mixtures by running the batch distilation?
Binary mixture is containing palm oil (95%) + 5% methanol
The purpose to establish the data is to calculate the distillation design in order to remove the methanol to < 3 ppm in the oil.

Are you sure it is a binary mixture?
Palm oil is a mixture of several saturated and unsaturated fats. So this mixture is not a binary mixture.
Now regarding establishing VLE data, either you can find out by experimenting yourself or search on internet and various journals for the data.

we assume this palm oil fraction is as one component, as it is the byproducts which cut as heavy stream
may i know any guidelines or examples on how to experiment out the VLE data
