What kind of help are you expecting here?

I mean you want to learn from scratch or you are having some problem with phast.

I am modeling a flaring case where the flare fails to ignite, and I am kind of teaching myself (no other way at the momemnt!). I have used the jet fire model, so my first question is, is this the correct way of doing it?

My second question is related to the interpretation of the graph. If from the results that I got, I wanted to establish a "no-go" sterile radius, based on the yellow contour (6.3 kw/m), how do I read the graph? please see attached.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi, correct me if i am wrong. To me, if you are simulating a failure in ignition, what you should simulate is the gas dispersion at 100% lfl. This is to check the extend of your flammable gas dispersion which you fail to burn at the flare.

Jet fire module usually used to simulate a leak from a containment which are pressurized. If you want to simulate flare radiation, it is better to use flaresim, onsteaf of phast.

In jet fire module, the graph shows you isoradiation contour relative to the source.
