Hi everyone,
Can anyone teach me how to simulate a deaerator using HYSYS?

Deaerator operation can be calculated by mass and energy balances using the steam tables. The feedwater must be heated in the deaerator to its saturation temperature in order to liberate the problematic dissolved gases (carbon dioxide and oxygen). You can figure out using the steam tables how much flow of your steam supply is required to do this.

Most systems typically have a deaerator and downstream injection of an oxygen scavenger to eliminate any residual oxygen from the feed water.

What are you trying to determine? The expected ppm of oxygen left in the feed water?
