Previous thread http://www.cheresour...yde-production/ could be useful as a first step; a simplified diagram can be seen in the attached file there.
Elementary information can be also found at http://en.wikipedia....ki/Acetaldehyde, then click "wacker process" on the text. Also at www.elmhurst.edu/~chm/onlcourse/inorganic/WackerProcess.ppt , concerning the chemical reaction. Googling "wacker process" could give some more information, concerning CH3CHO or other compounds.
Hopefully more specific data could be supplied by somebody having expertise.
