Hey,
How do you determine the slug volume in PIPESYS. I have created a oil system in HYSYS using PIPESYS. I have oil flowing from a separator at each well to a pipe system at similar pressures and temperatures. Essentially each well flows to a north gathering and to a south gathering system that tie into a common header to an oil battery. Each pipe is 3" with the appropriate elavations and lengths. Also, each inlet stream is pure liquid entering the pipeline, where any dissolved gas leaves the liquid stream when the pressure is decreased (as fluid moves across the pipe system).
I am wondering how to find the slug volume at the end of the pipe system (oil battery) in PIPESYS. At this point there is a vapour fraction of about 0.025.
Thanks for the help,
