Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some information about the above process. If anyone has any idea of how it is done in the industry, ie the processes and conditions involved, please post it here or email it to artfuldodgerb@yahoo.com

Would also appreciate the names of any journal articles that you might have come across.

Thanks!
Art

Art:

The Butamer process licensed by Universal Oil Products (UOP) of Des Plaines, Illinois has been used for many years in many petroleum refineries to convert normal butane to isobutane. A brief description and schematic flow diagram is available at:

www.uop.com/objects/TSButamerProcess.pdf <== click here

It should help get you started.
