In HYSYS, under the condition tab in the worksheet, for defining liquid flowrate, we have "Liq Vol Flow @ std conds" and "Std Ideal Liq vol flow". Though the values given by both are close, but what exactly is the difference between the two and how to decide which one to use and when.

P.S.: Since I want to find the mass flowrate, it is dependent on the volumetric flowrate, and the context of the question is large difference between the values obtained when I input any one of them with the flowrate I have, and the other is calculated by HYSYS.

I use a different software (Prode Properties) but I would guess that the meaning for volume flows is the same,
in Prode Properties if I set the regular model for liquid volume the software returns the value calculated with the standard volume correlation, I presume your simulator does the same when you set "Std Ideal Liq vol flow", differently if I set a EOS (or equivalent) for liquid volume the program can calculate the liquid volume at standard conditions (which I can specify being different in different countries) or actual conditions (calculated at operating conditions)
