The debate might have become cold by now.Yet I wish to state that FT boiler is not suitable for such high pressures.
You will have to consider the shell size,velocity,mass velocity of gases which should be of the order of 25-30000kg/hr/m2.
Vol.flow of gases will decide on the cross section of firetubes and hence the tube count -shell dia etc.
Then the thk of tubes and shell will have to be considered.For large vlumes this poses problems.
All depends on the sizing feasibility,corrosion,erosion,pressure drop restriction etc.
i know FTBS with limitation of 40tph&40, kg/cm2
WT boilers are ideal subject to no danger from corrosion ,difficult to dislodge soot,sludge etc.
If i were to do ,it will be WT boiler.
Selection depends on whether it is a pilot scale ,behaviour of gas etc ,M.O.C,cost and power;installation factors etc.FTB with elevated drum and Riser/Down comers are common
