Attempting to run a simulation in Aspen Plus. At one point I had added a combustion block (RStoic), but have since decided it was not needed. I attempt to delete the block in a number of ways (right-click delete; go to "Blocks" and select this block and delete; and deleting from the process flowsheet itself). No matter what I do, the block will not delete.

When running the simulation, I receive the following error:

*** SEVERE ERROR IN THE "BLOCK" PARAGRAPH WHICH BEGINS ON LINE 238
BLOCK NAME: COMB MODEL NAME: RSTOIC
THIS BLOCK DOES NOT APPEAR IN ANY FLOWSHEET PARAGRAPH.
PARAGRAPH IGNORED.

I am unable to generate a report due to this. Is there any way for me to solve this issue? I would hate to have to start fresh because one unnecessary block can't be deleted. Any insight is much appreciated!

I am trying to upload the Aspen file, but am being told I am not permitted to upload this type of file. I have tried .apw, .apwz, and .bkp, but none are permitted. Is there some other way for me to do this?

In such circumstances I would rather write to Aspen Support. They are very helpful and sometimes even admit to bugs. I am sure it will be quicker than trying to find somebody with similar experience in a blog
