Hello, i am working on 125 MMSCFD TEG based dehydration plant, the gas which is being dehydrated contains 40 mole% CO2, 10ppm H2S, i am facing problem with TEG Ph, current TEG ph is abuot 5, i need to know how to improve TEG Ph upto recommended ph scale i.e ` 7 to 7.5. There is no other option avaialble at site to inject other additives to the system to control TEG pH. Anybody would like to help me in same connection.

TEG packages commonly use a combined chemical for both pH control and corrosion inhibition. One of these chemicals is Triethanolamine (TEA), or other alkyl-primary-amines.

If there is no possibility for chemical injection, make sure you that you provide one suitable connection during next plant shutdown. If you cannot control glycol pH by injection, obviously the only remaining solution is to keep replacing glycol inventory after certain period of time when pH (or measured corrosion rates) become unacceptable. And since then you have to shut the plant down anyway, why not to provide chemical injection points?
