Dear All,

I am 2nd year chemical engineering student..
I am doing project on a designing of cooling tower as a task

I have Following information:
1) wet bulb -dry bulb temp. 2) water in and out temp.
3) volumetric flow rate of circulating water

i have managed to calculate its losses (evaporation, windage, etc.) , flow rate of makeup water required and L/G ratio.
And as mentioned in Perry's Handbook I can calculate the tower characteristic value solving Merkle's equation by Simpson rule.

Now the problem is how can i calculate required height of cooling tower by using tower characteristic and L/G ratio or from nomograph.

I have to calculate required height for Natural Draft cross flow cooling tower...

I have gone through many pdf from internet for this project.
Please provide me required nomograph for given task..

Please Help me.

Thank You..

Hi.

Consider these documents to support your query .
Additional info are available in Perry's chemical handbook.
Hope it helps.
