Hi every one

I am a chemical engineering student on attachment or internship at a polyurethane manufacturing company. Currently the company is producing only two grades of foam and, as a result, I am thinking of coming up up with a new formulation between the two grades being used.

We use a Vertifoam machine for the production of flexible polyurethane slabstock and the major chemicals are toluene diisocyanate (voranate T80) and polyol(voranol). I want something with a densith of about 21 or 22kg/m3. the blowing agent in use is technical methylene chloride and the catalysts in use are DMEA(DIMETHYL ETHYL ALCOHOL) AND SnOCT (A TIN SALT. We also use municipal water for the blow reaction between TDI and water.

Any help on how I can come up with the new formulation will be greatly appreciated.

Thanx
