If you are asking about losses from storage tank operations, then you should read Chapter 7 of the USA's Environmental Protection Agency's "Publication AP 42, Compilation of Air Pollution Emission Factors" which is available online at:

www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/ap42/ch07/final/c07s00.pdf <== click here

You can also download the USA's Environmental Protection Agency's "Tanks" program from:

http://www.epa.gov/t...ndex.html#order <== click here

I am sure you will find the above references very useful.

tank you from replying to our qustion
I cant get my answer
let me explain more about hydro carbon loss

I want to evaluate thhe losses from the following operation
step 1 : 37000 ton liquid H/C is pumped from storage tank to 3000 liter truck @30 C
step 2 : 37000 ton liquid is pupmed from truck to wagon
step 2 : then they go a trip from north to sout about 2300 km @ 50 C at 17 days
step 3 : then the above liquid pumped from truck to 3 storages
step 4 : all liquid remain in storage about 70 days @ 50 C
step 5 : then thay pumped from storages to truck
step 6 : truck go to loading 5000 m far from liquid drain to station
step 7 : all liquid pumped from station to ship

know in above operation some losses as filling loss & evaporation losses ... take place .
I want to evaluate losses from standard method

please tell me how i evaluate the losses
liqiud hydrocarbon is similar to kerosen

best regards
farzaneh
