If you are an industrial professional engineer, then there is no quicker, more accurate, and more effective way to generate an estimate than to pick up the phone and call a representative of the manufactuer's you have in mind or that you have already pre-selected as acceptable for a serious quote.

This is the way I do it, and the way that most engineers that I work with do it.

Of course, it is smart engineering to make that call only after you have generated an accurate and complete Data Sheet that you should submit.
