Hi,
According to the specs, MC-250 have a minimum temperature of 66C as flash point (open cup). What is the maximum allowable temperature for sending MC-250 to storage tanks (production unit plot limit condition)?
Regards

I do not know MC-250, but local "heavy" fuel oil has also flash point 66 oC (minimum) and storage temperatures up to 60 oC, maintained by heating coils and temperature control in cone roof tanks http://www.cheresources.com/invision/topic/9571-npsha-for-fuel-oil-centrifugal-pump/. Nitrogen blanketing would be applicable in cone roof tanks for higher temperatures.
Floating roof tanks should be used, if vapor pressure is about 0.75 - 13 psia at max operating temperature, http://www.cheresources.com/invision/topic/9948-storage-tank-requirements-vapour-losses/, where the restriction "max operating temp+margin < flash point" is not necessary.
