Dear All,

Appreciate if could somebody help me / advise on the designing of the gas venting to atmospheric.

The scenario is:-
- A drilling platform (unmanned) producing oil + gas
- there are a blowdown valves which will actuated during ESD.
- the vented gas is routed to atm.
- Blowdown will be once off. - expected 4 MMSCFD
- Vent line equipped with flame arrestor
- Expected to be a normal atmospheric vent pipe

The questions are:-
- How far the vent pipe to be terminated from the platform edge?
- How will gas dispersion affect the vent pipe length & height
- How does the radiation (in case of ignited vent) affect the length of the vent pipe.

regards,
