There are three unit operations for liquid-solids separation in Aspen Plus, including HyCyc, Cfuge, and Filter.
I am working on these three unit operations. When I choose MIXCIPSD as stream class in the setup. The simulation works.
When I choose MIXCISLD as stream class in the setup. It shows error because I didn't define particle size, such as PSD. Is there any method to choose MIXCISLD for HyCyc, Cfuge, and Filter models? And I can define particle size without choosing MIXCIPSD.
Here is another question. When I choose MIXCIPSD and define PSD, some unit operations do not work, such as flash, Rstoic, and sep. I am pretty sure Flash, Rstoic, and sep can use for solid, but not for defining PSD.
It looks like a dilemma. I must define PSD to use for solid unit operations. However, I should not define PSD to use other unit operation.
Hope someone can give me some suggestion.
Thanks,
Dylan
