Hi,

I am facing an issue regarding the design of a beer fermentation vessel designed according the ASME code.

As the vessel is to be designed with slight external pressure the ASME UG-28 states a maximimum diameter to wall thickness ratio of 1000.

Has anyone experienced a case where this ratio is higher? In my case it is 2339 and my dear notified body friends won't approve the design.

Looking forward to some answers!
