Hello guys,

I was hoping someone could help me calculate the resulting oxygen concentration acc. to NFPA with these inputs:

I want the result to be after release of 2 cylinders with 67,5L nitrogen

Room volume, netto: 150m3

Min. anticipated temperature in protected room: 21 degrees celsius

Storage cylinder pressure: 200BAR

Max. Peak pressure allowed in room: 5mbar

I have calculated this based on release of ARGONITE (50% ARGON, 50% NITROGEN), this resulted in:

Volume of inert gas discharged: 26,88 m3 and 37,83 kg with an oxygen concentration of 17,47%

If anyone have the answer (with calculations) I will be truely impressed.

I look forward to hear from you guys, cheers from Norway.

It seems to me that this is a simple O2 dilution question. As indicated in the attachment, I got 2.7% O2 concentration by converting the released gas volume to the room conditions.
