dear all;

i want to know what equipement can replace h2o filter (coalisser) in hysys  and how it works .

Separator in HYSYS can be use, if your intention is to removed free water (H2O) from the stream.

 

But if the filter is like a mol sieve or dessicant dryer, which removed saturate water. Best thing that you can do is to use a component splitter and to remove some of the saturate water and leave the water in the gas as what you required. Other than this you can try out by using a reaction column. 

 

Separator in HYSYS works by, separating the gas and liquid stream (heavy and/or light liquid) and it does a perfect separation, which is means all the liquid are knock out from the gas and all the heavy liquid are separated from the light liquid.   If you wanted to simulate something which is quite realistic, you can do some modification in the carry over set-up of the separator.

 

While the component splitter works by, removing certain species of component from the stream.
