Hi,

I would like to know what is the purpose of having a fuel gas knock drum in the unit even if the fuel gas header is available within unit.

Fuel gas header available within unit? Maybe you could provide a sketch? Your question seems unclear.

FG KO Drum takes care of larger liquid droplets  in the fuel gas stream.  FG Superheater safeguards smaller liquid droplets, which may slip from the FG KO Drum.
