Hi There,
I have Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus which came on me at age of 60 and I am 63 now and this has stopped me from working due to memory issues.
The Neurosurgeon has fitted a shunt drain from my Lateral Ventricles in my brain down to my Peritoneum using flexible tubing approx 3-4mm ID and length of tube is approx 75cm to drain off the excessive CSF pressure.
The problem is that the drain siphons continually despite having various types of anti siphon valves fitted at head end, none of the anti syphon valves on the market work in me.
Do any of you smart people in this community have any suggestions for effectively breaking the siphon as brains do not like operating continually under negative pressure?
Something different isn't it?
I look forward to your replies.
