Hi,

I'm in process of developing simulation for a crude+water stripping column. Our client has specified lab analysis of crude oil composition and provided us with plant feed conditions.

It has been checked that feed is in liquid phase for the provided lab analysis composition and feed conditions.

Client also specifies that 50000ppmv H2S to be considered in feed in gas phase.

Max. H2S Conc. in Fluid (in Gas Phase) (ppmv)

32,000 -50,000

Question 1: Feed is in liquid state. How can we ensure to add H2S to make 50000ppmv in gas phase for the liquid stream?

Export Spec to achieve:

Client requires following spec to achieve in exported sweet crude:

  • Crude H2S specification to ≤ 250 ppmv in gas phase (@ 1 bar)

Question 2: Stripped crude will be in liquid liquid state. How can we ensure above H2S spec for gas phase as the stream will be in liquid form?

Appreciate your help!

Hi,

You may want to confirm with your client? Max 5% H2S in gas phase.

Did you ask for their analytical methods to understand their specifications?

Are you sure that your feed is not a two-phase feed?

Good luck
