I am working in petrochemical plant in operations department.I am new to this blog and found it extremely helpful.following are the details of problem I am facing.
I am running extraction column having 19 sieve trays, each tray having 384 holes having 5 mm dia.feed rate from top (ammonium sulphate ) is 21m3/hr with density of 1210 kg/m3.i am not able to put more than 6m3/hr bottom feed(cyclohexanone) because of slippage of anone from tower bottom. Required rate of bottom feed is7.2 m3/hr.
bottom sparger (2") has total 100 holes of 5 mm diameter ( 5 rows )
Top sparger (3") has total 100 holes of 7 mm diameter in ( 5 rows)
tower ID is 800 mm
downcomer area is 0.05 m2
