Hi

I am providing nitrogen bottle for decanting vessel for purging and blanketing purpose, I have read that pressure of nitrogen bottles is near 2500-3500 psig. Kindly tell me how many PRVs will be required to take pressure to 1 bar on nitrogen line and also tell what will be the pressure of nitrogen in the line after coming out of nitrogen bottles (which will be the iinlet pressure of first PRV).

Hi,

Please note that one PRV (pressure regulator valve) at nitrogen bottle shall be used to reach downstream pressure up to 15 - 20 bar. Further one PRV or SAPCV (sell actuated control valve) shall be provided in downstream line to provide reduction in pressure to 1 bar. It is to noted that downstream line shall also be protected with PSV's to protect line in case of failure of PRV or SAPCV.

regards

sanchit
