Dear Experts!

Please share your thoughts on the points to remember while preparing detailed engineering P&ID from a FEED P&ID.

Thanks

Yogesh,

I have attached a PID checklist typical of what I have worked with. A good FEED should include the features shown in the third column, though this quality is sometimes not achieved due to  time pressure. During detailed design the features shown in the fourth column are developed, in particular details of vendor packages as received after orders have been placed. The final column (AFC) should include all development during detailed design, including any HAZOP actions on vendor equipment,  and ideally with all holds removed (though this is not always possible).

Hi Yogesh

The FEED P&ID is detailed in EPC (detailed Engineering).

Some of the examples are

  • Vendor Information updation
  • All process and utility line sizing
  • Identification of Vents and Drains
  • Distribution P&ID development
  • HAZOP study and recommendations
  • Control Valve
  • Validation of FEED documents (if required)
  • Clearing HOLDs during FEED
  • Piping routing and developments will be shown on P&IDs
  • Equipment full information
  • utility requirement
  • and so on...

Regards

Syed
