Dear All,

I just wanted to know how to select the appropriate L/G ratio for absorption.

I have gas flow rate @40000m3/hr with 400ppm H2S concentration.

I am using NaOH solution for scrubbing. Can someone pl tell me how to decide the conc. of the solution ?

Thanks

It varies widely due to the type of packing. You need to call Koch or Sulzer.

The L/G ratio will depend on your requirements.  You do not state what concentration you want to achieve at the clean side.

The temperature (and the pressure) must also be given

Then, as in distillation, there will be a trade off between column height and the Liquid rate selected.

If you want us to help, we need more data.     Regards
