Dear All,

My question is regarding selection of the stability class & Wind speed for the dispersion calculation.

Can any one please provide standard guideline of the Wind velocity & stability class selection ?

I have been gone through the below selection methodology.  Is there any standard API Shell or any other  international standard reflecting basis of the selection.

Regards,

Jatin

Jatin,

The Pasquill Stability Classes are well defined in the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) program 'AERMOD'. Refer the links below for AERMOD:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AERMOD

http://www.epa.gov/s...frec.htm#aermod

AERMOD has been widely used in North America for dispersion modeling.

In addition, one reputed company standard (not DEP) which I possess has a table similar to the one you have attached for Pasquill Stability classes and the figures more or less match.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ankur.
