I came across one equation called chen's correlation for pressure drop in packed bed. I could not understand what unit of measurements to be used because the equations seems to be semi emperical. Can any one help ?

Dear Cyberspider789,
Maybe Chen equation is only a part of your procedure. The Chen equation is for Fanning friction factor determination.
Where:
f = Fanning friction factor
k = absolute roughness (in)
D = diameter (in)
k/D = relative roughness (unitless)
Re = Reynold’s number
¿Do you have another equation?, please send me for review.
Regards,
Napo.
