Dear Experts:
Does anyone have an experience designing or working with static mixers with two-phase flow? I am currently working on a static mixer combining two streams (one is water, the other is some alcohol). Simulation says that, upon mixing, they form around 1% vapor since the alcohol stream is saturated and the water stream is hotter (I know that simulations might just be crunched and may not necessarily reflect real life application, but I thought that this might be a valid concern).
We decided to orient the static mixer upward to ensure venting of the gases. The vendor (Sulzer) provided a datasheet which only considered the liquid portion of the total stream.
In my view, this is already sufficient since the vapor is minimal and vented anyway, but I would like to know if anyone encountered any issues with this?

So, why not increase the pressure just a bit?

Now that you mentioned it, I realized it's a simple solution!
I must've been obsessing about the specifics instead of the bigger picture.
Thanks Bobby!
