Hello~^^

 

I am studying heat exchanger by Aspen HTFS.

I am searching how to overdesign from 'design mode'.

I can not even explain, because my English.

I am not familiar with HTFS, but the usual way to include X % overdesign in an exchanger design is to simpy add X % to both flowrates and duty.

Dear mbsahg ,

 

As i know this can be done by increasing a folling factor , then look the same performance tab where it shows a actual area / required area when it is clean and actual area / required area when it is dirty    minus 1 and multiply by 100 now this figure will show you a % of over design
