Fluid Flow Through Porous Media

This is an interesting Fluid Mechanics problem. It is probably out of a Hydraulics text book or from a Fluid Mechanics university course.
What mental and problem-solving work have you done on it and what are your results? Our members would probably be interested in knowing how close you have gotten to the correct answer and what your algorithm was like.

Someone will certainly help you if we understand your difficulties , we are not supposed to do homework .
Probably good to review textbook about application of Ergun's equation and non spherical particles ( equivalent to spherical particles) .
