Where can I find the solubility data for Carbon dioxide in Potassium Carbonate (K2CO3) ? I googled it but could not find any free article (All those which I found demanded a large amount of money). I need to obtain this data in order to design a CO2 absorption tower as a part of my undergrad project. Please help me out.

You need to calculate pH of the Carbonate solution and then use this information to analyze solubility of CO2. There are two counter-acting forces: increased pH which stimulates absorption and dissolution of CO2, and the concentration of the existing HCO3 and CO3 ions which pushes the equilibrium towards removing CO2 from the solution back to gas phase.

Dear Light,
Maybe the following information can you help you:
1.- Please review the textbook Kohl A., Nielsen R., Gas purification, 5th ed. p. 39. Fig. 5-9.
2.- Also, Ramm V., Absorption of Gases, Jerusalem, 1968, p. 38. (I send you this page).
3.- In Separation Processes by King, McGraw-Hill, 2nd ed., 1980, p. 304. You have a similar problem, I send you the graph.
Regards,
Napo.
