I would assume you are speaking about calorific value of gas. And I am assuming you are referring to an NGL recovery process which can operate in two different modes - recover Ethane in NGL, or reject Ethane in the overhead gas.
Why is it so difficult to spend a few minutes and write a detailed post, including description and input data? Everyone would be amazed how many quality answers would be received.
If you "reject" Ethane from NGL to the sales gas, calorific value of gas is increased. In Ethane recovery mode it happens the opposite.

Dejan ...
Apologies for not writing full question
you are right .... i was seeking a reply exactly on same question.,...
can you tell how much mole % is maximum limit so as not to exceed sales gas specs for calorific value (typically 950 BTU/SCF)

This depends on your gas BTU in the Ethane recovery mode. You can add only as much Ethane while not exceeding 950 BTU/SCF.
You can make a handy Excel spreadsheet and play with mole fractions of sales gas. Heating value of the mixture is calculated as sum of mol fractions of each component times heating value of the component. You have the values here http://www.engineeri...ases-d_823.html
