I am trying to design a crude oil atmospheric distillation column, i find a method for Watkins but it was too hard to understand. so I was asking if there's another method or if there is a book that makes it easier to understand.

1.- Distillation by M. Van Winkle.

2.- Multicomponent Distillation by Ch. Holland.

For your help, why don't use the "Handbook of Petroleum Processing" by Jones, Pujadó chapter 3. I think is an useful source for crude and vacuum design.

Hello Amine,

I trayed to size an atmospheric tower with watkin's book (first edition,1969) but there is several difficulties. Many people advice me to use the second edition of this book (1979).
