Kerosene From Hydrocracking Unit

I'm looking for a way to eliminate or minimize kerosene "mainly jet-fuel" production from hydrocracker by any means even using new process.
the hydrocracker is a part of a new complex which is designed to convert low value Atmospheric residue into desirable products (LPG / Gasoline / Diesel ...)
the main components of this complex are: 1- Atmospheric Distillation Unit 2-Vacuum Distillation Unit 3- Delayed Coker 4- Hydrocracker 5- Naphtha Hydrotreater 6- CCR 7- Naphtha Isomerization
P.S. the main goal of the complex is to maximize Diesel production

Dear Msm_petrol,
You can mix the stream kerosene with diesel stream, if the diesel specification comply, you obtain a light diesel.

Yes. Keeping flash point, FBP, and viscosity in view, you can send the heavier ends to diesel and lighter ends to naphtha

Dear Napo,
thank you for your answer, but the specification of diesel as final product will be according to Euro V, so the amount of kerosene to be added to diesel won't be sufficient enough to reach the reduction target.
So I was mainly looking for a process to convert kerosene to another product or to replace the hydrocracker with another unit to produce diesel without producing kerosene.
thank you for your participation

Dear Msm_petrol,
Now, under this conditions (Diesel Euro V), you need to change the operational conditions of your unit, for this you must check the operation manual and contact with vendor and-or licensor.
Maybe you need to change the catalyzer type for more selectivity.
Good luck.

msm,
what is the parameter(s) of the Euro-V that can't be met by blending heavy kero in diesel?
HCK schemes are the best to maximize diesel. Napo and Rao have already shown the road.
Surely DCU (ie coking) is not the best way to maximize diesel from bottom-of-the-barrel. You should think about Residue Hydrocracking process (eg LC-Fining, H-Oil....) but the costs will increase.
Maybe you could be interested by the EFT process that someone is proposing in Canada.
I'd be happy to further help you by making available specific experiences in the field of refinery planning/optimization.
Good luck!
ps: if you're working on an industrial project, HCK licensor should already have answered your questions
