Dear All,
Please explain me the following'
1. Why weep hole is provided on PSV discharging to atmosphere?
2. What should be the size?1/2" or 6 mm?
3. On what basis the weep hole size should be selected?

Thanks in advance.

if the relief is for vapor, then the tail pipe will be pointing straight up to keep the relieving flow away from anyone who may be in the area. Since it is pointing up, it can fill with rain water. So, the week hole is provided for drainage.

The 1/4" hole is more common to me.

The sizing basis is anything that will accomplish the job. 1/4" hole should do the job.

Don't forget the weep hole deflector so if the discharge ignites any jet flame from the weep hole won't impinge on the vessel or important piping and possibly cause overheating and failure. This was an oil & petrochemical underwriters' recommendation for many years and was eventually put into an industry code - API 2510 and 2510A for LPG facilities.
