I know both of they simplified the acid gas removal but what is the differences between them? Like what are the differences between the process of the AGR.

Sulfinol X and Sulfinol M are both Shell processes that combine physical and chemical solvents. Both will have a Sulfolane base. The letter on the end indicates the chemical solvent it is mixed with. M means the chemical solvent is MDEA. X means it is MDEA and Piperazine. D means it is DIPA. Sulfinol is used mostly in gas plants that have a high amount of Mercaptans, COS and H2S. It reduces the number of processes needed to achieve a clean gas.
