Hey guys,

I'm trying to simulate purification of biodiesel from TAG (5%), MeOH (0.16%), and water (0.35%). I found a detailed reference (vacuum DC, partial condenser, meoh+h2o leaving in overhead, biodiesel leaving in distillate, TAG leaving in bottom) with stream info and everything. However, I can't make the column converged (I can't replicate the paper and simulation based on my stream doesn't converge either). I assume that the reflux (given as 2) or other condition might be different due to different flow rates. Does anyone know some rules of thumbs to make a DC converge? I just want to make it converge and see if the result is useful and change based on that. I tried to change specs and I can get flow rate specs converged but the column. What should I do when the specs converge but the column doesn't?

Cheers
